The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing field survey crews, performing construction layout and staking, establishing project control, and ensuring all survey data is accurate and compliant with project specifications. This position plays a critical role in supporting construction activities and maintaining project quality, safety, and schedule requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily survey and layout activities on industrial and heavy civil construction projects. Establish, maintain, and verify horizontal and vertical project control networks. Perform construction staking and layout for earthwork, utilities, roadways, drainage systems, foundations, concrete structures, and other civil infrastructure. Conduct topographic, as-built, quantity, and progress surveys. Verify grades, elevations, alignments, and dimensions to ensure compliance with engineering plans and specifications. Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including

GPS/GNSS

systems, robotic total stations, data collectors, and levels. Process and manage survey data using industry-standard software. Coordinate survey activities with project managers, engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and craft personnel. Identify and resolve field layout discrepancies and provide technical support to construction teams. Maintain accurate records, survey notes, reports, and as-built documentation. Ensure all survey activities are conducted safely and in accordance with company and project safety requirements. Train and mentor survey technicians and field crew members.
