Position Description:
Wade Trim is seeking an Entry Level Engineer to join our Taylor office and support a variety of infrastructure projects. Depending on project needs and the candidate's background and interests, opportunities may be available across multiple engineering disciplines and market segments. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers, project managers, and technical staff to support the planning, design, permitting, and construction of infrastructure projects. Responsibilities will vary based on project assignments and may include engineering analysis and calculations, preparation of plans and specifications, design documentation, field activities, construction support, and coordination with project teams and clients. Potential project opportunities within our Tayor office may include work supporting Water, Transportation, Community Design, Industrial/Commercial/Energy, Construction, based on current business and project needs. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline applicable to the position, with zero to three years of related experience. Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. Candidates should be self-motivated, collaborative, and able to effectively work as part of a multidisciplinary project team. Typical Responsibilities Responsibilities may vary based on project assignment and could include: Assist with the planning and design of civil, environmental, transportation, utility, energy, municipal, and other infrastructure projects Prepare engineering calculations, analyses, and supporting documentation Assist with preparing design reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents Support development and review of engineering drawings and technical documents Assist with permit applications and related project documentation Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and quantity calculations Support project scope, budget, and schedule activities Monitor assigned task progress and communicate project updates Assist with field investigations, site visits, inspections, and construction-related activities as needed Collect, organize, and analyze project and field data Coordinate with engineers, project managers, technical staff, clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders Assist Project Managers with project delivery activities Participate in project, client, staff, and other coordination meetings Prepare project status reports and other technical documentation Assist with preparation of proposals and other project-related materials Document project decisions, design modifications, and communications Maintain excellent client relations Maintain a safe working environment Education Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline applicable to the position Skills/Experience 0 to 3 years of related experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams Familiarity with applicable engineering/design software preferred Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred, when applicable
