Quality Engineer Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier in the Birmingham, AL area, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team! This is a direct-hire opportunity offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and opportunities for career growth.
Quality Engineer Job Summary :
Pay:
$76,000
  • 80,800+ annually DOE Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement Investigate product defects, non-conformances, and customer complaints Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to improve processes and product quality Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation Ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines Assist with process validation, PPAPs, FMEAs, Control Plans, and continuous improvement projects Train production personnel on quality standards and procedures as needed
Quality Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred Previous Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required Automotive manufacturing experience preferred Knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies Experience with ISO standards, auditing, and quality documentation preferred Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software systems Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively ASQ certification preferred, but not required
Work Environment:
Manufacturing and office environment Frequent interaction with production teams and plant operations May require standing, walking the production floor, and occasional lifting
