Salary Range:
89800.00—105500.00 USD annually Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual's related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
What you will be doing:
The Quality Engineer performs professional engineering work focused on the analysis, validation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and quality systems for automotive components. This role partners with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Product Development to ensure production processes consistently meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards. This position independently applies engineering principles, statistical methods, and structured problem-solving techniques to improve process capability, product quality, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Engineering Analysis & Process Development Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance quality, process capability, and product reliability. Perform process capability studies (CPK, PPK) and statistical analysis to evaluate manufacturing performance. Develop and maintain Process FMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including PPAP submissions and process validation. Quality Engineering & Continuous Improvement Lead root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, PDCA, and other structured problem-solving methodologies. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Support reduction of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through process improvements. Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives. Measurement Systems & Validation Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA), including Gage R&R studies. Validate inspection methods, testing systems, and measurement equipment. Support approval and validation of production tooling, fixtures, and error-proofing solutions. Reporting, Systems & Collaboration Monitor quality KPIs including scrap, rework, warranty, and customer complaints. Prepare reports analyzing manufacturing performance and quality trends. Support internal and external quality audits. Participate in maintenance and improvement of the QMS. Provide technical support to production and operations teams
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related engineering discipline. Minimum 3 years of manufacturing quality, process engineering, or related engineering experience. Experience with statistical analysis and quality improvement methodologies. Demonstrated problem-solving and root cause analysis experience.

Experience working within
ISO 9001
2015 and
IATF 16949
quality systems. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred. Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. Proficiency with Minitab and statistical analysis tools. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T. Experience with metal fabrication, welding, tube bending, assembly, or automotive manufacturing. Strong Excel and reporting capabilities.
