Position Overview We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality systems, customer requirements, supplier quality initiatives, and continuous improvement activities across multiple manufacturing facilities. This position works closely with Quality Managers and Operations to ensure compliance with customer requirements while driving process improvements throughout the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an automotive manufacturing background who enjoys solving problems, owning projects, and working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, customers, and suppliers. Responsibilities Create, revise, and maintain Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation. Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new and existing products. Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Measurement System Analyses (MSA). Conduct internal quality audits and support customer and third-party audits. Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies. Review customer-specific requirements and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and
ISO 9001
standards. Support supplier quality activities, including supplier PPAP approvals and quality improvement initiatives. Monitor quality metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Maintain calibration systems and quality documentation. Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams across multiple manufacturing facilities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline preferred. 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience within an automotive or Tier 1 manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of:
PPAP APQP PFMEA MSA
Control Plans Process Flow Diagrams Experience working under IATF 16949 and
ISO 9001
quality systems. Experience conducting internal audits and supporting customer audits. Strong root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
