Job Overview The Quality Lead serves as the primary liaison between Gracious Living Kentucky Inc.
, its customers, and the manufacturing operation regarding day-to-day quality matters. This position coordinates customer quality concerns, communicates customer expectations to the plant, supports investigations and corrective actions, and ensures customers receive timely, professional responses. The ideal candidate can communicate with the customer, work directly with Production, understand what is happening on the floor, and bring the two sides together. Engineering expertise is not required. Duties
Customer Communication & Plant Liaison
Serve as the primary plant contact for routine customer quality questions and concerns.
Receive, document, and coordinate responses to customer complaints and quality issues.
Provide timely customer updates and maintain professional customer relationships.
Communicate customer requirements and concerns clearly to Production and Plant Leadership.
Work with Production to understand issues, communicate feedback, and ensure agreed-upon actions are completed.
Escalate significant or unresolved concerns to Plant Leadership and/or Corporate Quality. Quality Issue Investigation & Corrective Action
Assist with investigations involving customer complaints, defective or nonconforming product, and other quality concerns.
Gather relevant records, inspection results, photographs, samples, and other documentation.
Assist with basic root-cause analysis, problem solving, containment, and corrective actions.
Track corrective actions through completion and follow up to confirm concerns have been addressed.
Monitor recurring issues and communicate trends to Plant Leadership. Documentation & Corporate Quality Support
Maintain accurate records of customer complaints, investigations, corrective actions, and resolutions.
Prepare routine customer communications, forms, reports, and quality documentation.
Partner with Corporate Quality on customer concerns, quality reviews, and audits as needed.
Follow company quality procedures and customer-specific requirements and escalate issues when additional support is needed. Production Support & Continuous Improvement
Maintain a regular presence on the production floor and work with Production Supervisors and employees to identify quality concerns.
Assist with inspection, verification, containment, and sorting activities as needed.
Help reduce customer complaints, defects, scrap, and rework by identifying recurring issues and practical improvement opportunities.
Promote a culture in which quality is everyone's responsibility
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, customer service, production, or a related environment.
Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
Ability to communicate professionally with customers and employees at all levels.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to read and understand basic work instructions, specifications, and quality requirements.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple issues. Preferred
Manufacturing quality or customer-facing experience.
Experience handling customer complaints, inspections, or quality documentation.
Familiarity with basic problem-solving techniques such as 5 Why.
Experience with an ERP/manufacturing system or in a plastics, consumer products, or similar environment.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly walk and stand throughout the manufacturing facility and move between office and production areas.
Safely navigate the production environment, inspect product/materials, and wear required PPE.
Occasionally lift or handle product/materials as needed.
Work in both office and manufacturing environments with regular interaction with customers, Production, Supervisors, Plant Leadership, and Corporate Quality.
ROLE SCOPE
This is a Quality Lead and customer liaison role, not a Quality Engineer position. The role is focused on identifying, communicating, coordinating, documenting, and following through on quality issues. Engineering or technical resources will be engaged when specialized support is required.
