Job Description

Quality Engineer Location:
Batavia, Ohio (Onsite)
Schedule:
Full-Time, 40 hours/week,

$65,000-$85,000 annually, negotiable for highly qualified candidates based on experience Job Summary The Quality Engineer at BoldX Industries is responsible for planning, directing, and maintaining quality standards across industrial processes, materials, and products. This role develops and implements inspection, testing, and evaluation methods; leads root cause analysis and corrective action efforts; and supports APQP, PPAP, and FAIR activities. The Quality Engineer manages Quality Assurance operations in the absence of the Quality Supervisor and works cross-functionally to ensure products and processes meet all applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Primary Responsibilities Plan and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products Develop and initiate methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical Develop sampling procedures and associated inspection plans Design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data Establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities; conduct GR&R's Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devise methods to assess cost using the NCMR process Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability Perform effective root cause analysis and corrective action completion Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities Review process designs, incoming material, SPC, incoming inspection, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, research and development, and administrative application Manage Quality Assurance during the absence of the Quality Supervisor Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner Complete PPAP's, FAIR's, and lead APQP activities along with the supporting documentation Utilize and abide by all applicable Quality Standards and OSHA requirements and safety procedures Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions Perform all required checks and complete documentation Perform general housekeeping functions Perform all other work assigned Qualifications Ability to think strategically Proficient planning skills Ability to deal effectively with confrontation Excellent communication and writing skills Knowledgeable in a machining and production environment Effectively manage processes, workflow, and process improvement Ability to perform basic mathematical computations (fractions, percentages, ratios, & proportions) Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Excellent eyesight (with glasses) Expected Performance Excellent attendance Meets deadlines and able to work in a fast-paced environment Works effectively in a team environment and is respectful of others Professionally interacts with co-workers, customers, and suppliers Demonstrates a high degree of safety awareness and practice Ability to prioritize competing demands Maintains a high level of quality through attention to detail Leads cross-functional team meetings effectively Education & Experience Minimum 5 years related experience or training, or a combination of both
PPAP, FAIR
