The Opportunity All State Fastener is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support and maintain our quality management systems, ensuring that our products and services meet or exceed customer expectations and documented quality requirements. This role works closely with the Quality Manager, internal departments, customers, and suppliers to address quality concerns, maintain compliance with
ISO 9001
2015 standards, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, experience in quality assurance, and the ability to effectively communicate and resolve quality-related issues with internal and external stakeholders. What You'll Do Quality Management & Compliance Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure that quality processes, customer concerns, and supplier issues are addressed in a timely manner. Ensure the requirements of ASF's Quality Manual are implemented and maintained in accordance with
ISO 9001
2015 standards. Participate in internal quality audits to evaluate compliance with established quality standards and procedures. Maintain quality documentation, including work instructions, drawings, specifications, and other controlled documents. Communicate updates and changes to quality processes and documentation throughout the organization. Identify, stop, reject, resolve, and report products or services that do not conform to established quality requirements. Customer & Supplier Quality Manage the Customer Concern Log, ensuring all concerns are reviewed, addressed, resolved, and communicated in a timely manner. Develop and maintain the 8D corrective action process to communicate production and quality concerns to manufacturers, establish clear expectations for resolution, and track corrective actions. Monitor customer portals for quality concerns, supplier scorecards, performance updates, and changes to customer quality requirements. Track and communicate customer quality performance and concerns to management. Represent ASF's Quality Department in discussions with customers and suppliers regarding quality issues. Participate in internal and external contract and technical reviews to ensure quality requirements are understood and addressed. Quality Reporting & Continuous Improvement Prepare and present quality performance updates during regularly scheduled management meetings, including customer concerns, 8D corrective actions, parts per million (PPM) performance, and supplier performance. Monitor quality trends and identify opportunities to improve processes, product quality, and customer satisfaction. Work with dock auditors and warehouse personnel to investigate shipping concerns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Track and communicate quality concerns, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives to management. Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality performance and operational efficiency. Quality Systems & Equipment Maintain corporate quality gauges and the gauge management system to ensure accuracy and reliability. Support the implementation and maintenance of quality control processes and procedures. Ensure quality records and documentation are accurate, current, and maintained in accordance with company requirements. Participate as a member of the Safety Team and support company safety initiatives. What You'll Bring High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Quality Systems or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality-related environment. Working knowledge of
ISO 9001
2015 quality management standards and quality system requirements. Experience with quality audits, document control, corrective actions, and continuous improvement processes. Familiarity with 8D problem-solving methodologies, PPM reporting, and customer quality performance metrics. Ability to investigate quality concerns, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve quality concerns in a timely manner. Proficiency in English; Chinese or Taiwanese language skills preferred.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
