Quality Engineer
Job Description
Job#: 3051699 Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Quality Engineer for our client based out of Fort Worth, TX.This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.
This will also have a first‑shift Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific quality control plans that align with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and organizational quality standards.
Gather and interpret customer quality requirements and applicable reference documentation to support project execution.
Create and manage Quality Control Tracking Logs (QCTLs) to track inspections, quality milestones, and project compliance activities.
Develop and maintain project-specific quality checklists and inspection documentation.
Verify submittal approvals and track quality-related deliverables through completion.
Facilitate and participate in design reviews to ensure quality requirements are incorporated throughout the project lifecycle.
Serve as a primary interface with customers, subcontractors, project teams, and third-party inspectors regarding quality issues, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate and support inspections, audits, and compliance reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
Document and improve business processes utilizing frameworks such as ISO, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PMBOK, ITIL, or CMMI.Develop quality procedures, controls, policies, and implementation plans to support operational excellence.
Lead quality assurance, compliance, audit, and process improvement efforts across assigned projects.
Conduct audits to assess adherence to established policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
Collect, analyze, and summarize quality and operational performance data.
Develop quality metrics, scorecards, and executive reporting dashboards to communicate project performance.
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, compliance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, construction quality, compliance, manufacturing quality, or process improvement environments.
Working knowledge of the
USACE/NAVFAC
Three‑Phase Quality Control System.
Experience developing quality plans, supporting audits, coordinating inspections, and managing quality documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and drive improvements.
Experience interacting with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and cross-functional project teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management abilities.
Ability to influence stakeholders and drive action without direct supervisory authority.
Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
