Job Description

Kongsberg Automotive is a global leader in innovative automotive technology, supporting the transition to sustainable mobility through engineering, innovation, and high-quality manufacturing. Our Off-Highway Business Unit is a Tier 1 supplier of premium driver controls to leading manufacturers of agricultural, construction, and power sports vehicles. Our products include steering systems, foot pedals, hand controls, and electronic control devices. We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our Willis, Texas manufacturing team. In this role, you will work closely with customers, production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality concerns, improve processes, and ensure our products meet customer and company requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on quality professional who enjoys problem-solving, working with customers, and driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Quality partner by responding to quality concerns, claims, and requests in a timely and professional manner. Lead quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for potential and actual quality issues. Coordinate return authorizations and follow up on suspect or non-conforming material. Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify problems and implement effective solutions. Analyze quality data, identify trends and risks, and recommend actions to prevent recurring issues. Support containment, sorting, inspection, and material disposition activities. Communicate investigation findings, root causes, and corrective actions to internal teams and customers. Support compliance with
ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO
14001, and
ISO 45001
requirements. Participate in internal audits and support corrective and preventive action activities. Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and customer information. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality role. Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and core quality tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills. Ability to make sound, data-driven decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and with customers. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the automotive or off-highway manufacturing industry. Experience with
ISO 9001, ISO
14001, and/or
ISO 45001.
Experience working directly with customers to resolve quality issues. Experience with quality core tools, including:
APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D

United States Pay:
$80,500.00 - $97,100.00 per year
