Lead Quality Engineering activities for New Product Introduction (NPI), supporting products from early development through production readiness and scale-up. Develop and execute quality plans, inspection plans, control plans, and process qualification strategies for composite manufacturing processes and equipment. Partner with Manufacturing Engineers to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Quality (DFQ) principles are embedded early in product development. Support scaling of composite manufacturing processes for high-volume production, ensuring consistent quality, repeatability, and reliability. Define and implement inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and measurement strategies for complex composite structures and assemblies. Support process and equipment qualification activities in accordance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. Collaborate with tooling, automation, and equipment teams to define quality requirements for tooling, fixtures, go/no-go gauges, and inspection aids. Perform and support root cause analysis, corrective actions (RCCA), and continuous improvement efforts related to manufacturing and product quality. Work directly with technicians and engineers on the shop floor during prototype builds, pilot runs, and production ramp-up. Interface with material suppliers and external vendors to ensure incoming materials and outsourced processes meet quality and performance requirements. Author and maintain quality-related documentation, including work instructions, inspection requirements, PFMEAs, and validation reports. Ensure all quality activities align with aerospace regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and internal quality systems.
