Job Summary DRM-Electrocoat is seeking a technically driven Quality Engineer to strengthen our quality systems and ensure product excellence across our manufacturing operations. This role combines hand-on interaction with strategic quality planning, supporting both production and engineering teams. This position will help monitor processes, perform audits, assist with inspection, and maintaining consistent product quality, customer satisfaction and compliance with ISO 9001 and internal DRM standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in quality assurance, manufacturing operations, and compliance standards within a dynamic environment. This position is also responsible for maintaining the LMS Training system (TrakStar) and ensuring compliance with quality and safety audit requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections using precision measurement tools. Understand the requirements of our customers and cascade those requirements to the production floor to assure quality products. Communicating with customers regarding any quality related activities. Collaborate as needed on rack design to improve productivity, efficiency and quality. Create and maintain quality documentation including control plans, PFMEAs, inspection reports, process cards, procedures and work instructions. Support internal audits and continuous improvement efforts aligned with ISO 9001 and customer standards. Communicate effectively across departments to drive quality awareness and resolution of issues. Identify areas of improvement, make the necessary changes and document effectiveness of the changes. Assist in the training of employees to bring them up to the expected level of performance at DRM and maintain plantwide training documentation system (LMS - TrakStar). Maintain plant-wide safety and OSHA compliance. ISO 9001
is preferred. Experience with creating and submitting PPAPs to our customers. Strong understanding of quality standards in production processes. Proven track record with eliminating defects/issues through corrective action process. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend improvements. Prior experience in a Quality Engineering or Advanced Quality Technician role is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting purposes. Ability to follow detailed procedures accurately while maintaining a high level of attention to detail while managing multiple priorities. Experience with training, documentation or process improvement preferred. Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Why DRM?
