full-time Quality Engineer Location - Lake Geneva, WI Please note: This position is 100% onsite in Lake Geneva, WI. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance, and visa sponsorship is not available. Job Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, investigating, and advancing product quality and internal and external customer satisfaction. This role owns escalated quality issues through resolution and works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Document Control, suppliers, and customers to ensure quality requirements are met. Key Responsibilities Quality Management & Audits Control and coordinate customer audits of R&L Spring Company's Quality Management System (QMS). Recommend improvements to align company procedures with applicable standards and requirements. Assist with and lead internal audits according to the established schedule. Coordinate and conduct Layered Process Audits, Packaged Product Audits, and Manufacturing Process Audits. Identify, document, and provide solutions for audit NCRs (Non-Conformances). Ensure compliance with R&L Spring Company's

IATF 16949

Quality Management System. Quality Planning & Documentation Develop, support, and improve quality specifications, inspection plans, and related documentation. Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Quality Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and other quality documentation. Identify and document key process inputs and outputs through Process Flow Diagrams. Create, review, and analyze quality procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation. Assist in facilitating the Quality Planning Process for the QMS and products. Develop Quality Validation Plans for new projects. Assign and recommend training based on job functions within the

QMS. PPAP

& Product Quality Comply with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements, including: Dimensional layouts Statistical Process Control (SPC) Measuring Systems Analysis (MSA) Process Control Plans Process Flow Charts PFMEAs Perform component layouts and inspections and generate associated records. Analyze and troubleshoot inspection and testing results. Perform calculations and mathematical functions as required. Provide accurate reporting of data and information while meeting quality and delivery requirements. Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement Investigate and resolve escalated quality issues. Perform Corrective Actions (CARs), Preventive Actions (PARs), and Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs). Apply root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to identify sustainable solutions. Interface with cross-functional teams to identify process and product risks. Coordinate Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities as needed. Supplier & Cross-Functional Support Develop, improve, and support supplier assessments and R&L Spring Company's Approved Supplier List (ASL). Work directly with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Document Control to implement and update the QMS. Partner with cross-functional teams to support quality planning, process improvements, and customer requirements. Required Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and related technical documentation. Working knowledge of

ISO 9001, IATF

16949, and quality assurance principles. Competence in AIAG Core Tools. Knowledge of CQI Automotive Requirements for special processes. Knowledge of Validation & Verification processes, including Software, IQ, OQ, and PQ. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Project management experience. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow. Training experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate leadership. Excellent planning, organization, and attention to detail. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. Methodical and accurate documentation skills. Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. 5-10 years of experience in automotive quality, utilizing quality disciplines and Lean tools. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
