Need additional engineers to complete verification across 10 BMS PCBAs, each with approximately 100-400 requirements. About the
Role:
Develop and execute design-verification testing for BMS PCBAs and integrated systems. The engineer will interpret schematics and requirements, determine the proper test methodology, document procedures, perform hands-on bench testing, analyze results and communicate findings to hardware, firmware and systems engineers. This is an electrical hardware-validation role—not software QA or primarily automated testing.
Responsibilities:
Develop test plans and verification procedures from schematics and system requirements. Execute functional, reliability and environmental testing at the board and system levels. Define test configurations, instrumentation and calibration requirements. Analyze data, document results and maintain requirements-to-test traceability. Troubleshoot and root-cause hardware failures with engineering teams. Support test-readiness and design-verification reviews. Contribute lightweight automation where it improves repeatability or throughput. Follow laboratory safety and applicable compliance standards.
Must-Haves:
5+ years of PCBA hardware testing, validation or design-verification experience. Ability to derive test methods from schematics and sometimes ambiguous requirements, not just execute existing procedures. Strong board/system-level testing knowledge, including BMS architecture and analog/digital circuits. Experience with embedded interfaces such as CAN, SPI, I2C and UART; CAN is particularly important. Hands-on use of EE lab/bench tools and equipment including oscilloscopes, differential probes, multimeters, power supplies, DAQ systems and environmental chambers. Experience testing and troubleshooting electrical hardware up to approximately 85v. Exposure to firmware verification, HIL testing, and/or driver-level debugging. Strong documentation, requirements traceability and technical communication skills.
Preferred:
Battery, BMS, automotive, energy-storage or safety-critical electronics experience. DVP&R and root-cause analysis experience. Jama, Polarion, DOORS or similar requirements tools. Python, AI-assisted scripting and UL/compliance testing experience.
Benefits:
The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, (paid time , paid sick and safe time , hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, paid holidays annually - AS Applicable)
