Civil EngineerJob Description This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil or Environmental Engineering graduate with 0-3 years of experience who is eager to pursue a professional engineering career in water resources and sustainable water/wastewater infrastructure. You will be part of a project team dedicated to helping communities and industries solve complex infrastructure challenges. + Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.

+ Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior team member.

+ Conduct sub-professional engineering tasks such as fieldwork, inspections, engineering reports, permits, construction engineering, and simple design calculations.

+ Coordinate with contractors.

+ Review construction drawings and specifications.

+ Contact government officials for permits. Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Ecological Engineering. + 0-3 years of experience in Civil Engineering, specifically within Water/Wastewater, Transportation, Site Development, and Stormwater/Drainage.

+ Minimum GPA of 3.2 (verification via transcripts required).

+ Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

+ Experience in drainage, civil design, grading, and stormwater management. Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Graduate degree in a related field is a plus.

+ Passed FE (EI) examination preferred. Work Environment The office environment is laid back but can become deadline-intensive at times. There is a strong emphasis on a family feel and a team-oriented culture. Dress code is business casual. Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to start as early as 7 AM or as late as 9 AM. There are options for compressed work weeks, allowing for a half-day on Fridays. The office provides a blend of in-office work and fieldwork, offering a balanced start to your career. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.58 - $36.54/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
