Responsibilities The Senior Accounting Consultant assists in various accounting functions and acts as an advisor to internal teams. This role bridges technical accounting knowledge and strategic business operations—supporting month-end closes, financial statement integrity, audits, and compliance.

•

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and reconciliations.

•

Process & System Improvement:

Evaluate, design, and optimize accounting workflows, internal controls (SOX), and ERP/accounting software deployments (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).

•

Audit & Tax Support:

Assist with internal and external audits, provide narrative documentation, and prepare workpapers.

•

Advisory & Technical Accounting:

Assist with researching, interpreting, and applying accounting standards.

Education / Qualifications

•

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is a strong plus).

•

Experience:

5 to 10+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or financial consulting.

Technical Skills:

o Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. o Hands-on experience with Great Plains and accounting systems. o Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Soft Skills:
