Our client, a mission-driven organization in the nonprofit industry, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in an on-site capacity. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, and helping ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.

Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key financial records.

Prepare financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation.

Assist with budget tracking, grant reporting, and fund accounting activities.

Monitor restricted and unrestricted funds to ensure proper accounting treatment.

Support annual audit preparation and respond to auditor requests.

Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls.

Partner with internal departments to support reporting and financial operations.

Assist with process improvements and special accounting projects as needed.
