In this role, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards. Your expertise in financial software and accounting systems will help streamline processes, support financial reporting, and uphold the integrity of our financial data. Responsibilities Perform daily bookkeeping duties including data entry, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management using software such as QuickBooks or similar systems. Reconcile balance sheets and account statements regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare journal entries, conduct account analysis, and perform double entry bookkeeping to maintain precise financial records. Support month-end and year-end closing processes by assisting with ledger reconciliations and financial statement preparation. Assist with compliance requirements related GAAP guidelines. Utilize financial software such as Quickbooks for payroll processing and HR-related accounting tasks. Analyze Excel data for insights into financial performance; create detailed spreadsheets for reporting purposes. Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion while providing excellent customer service to internal teams and external vendors. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with strong understanding of accounting concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms; experience with multiple systems is a plus. Familiarity with financial regulations including GAAP compliance requirements. Strong technical accounting skills with experience in corporate or governmental accounting environments. Excellent numeracy skills combined with the ability to perform detailed data entry and Excel data analysis accurately. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while demonstrating strong organizational skills. Effective communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented attitude to support team collaboration and vendor relations.
