We are looking for a Staff / Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations for a manufacturing environment in Firestone, Colorado. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash activity, and contributing to close processes that keep reporting timely and reliable. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to work across accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily cash reconciliation activity by matching bank transactions to internal records and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor cash needs, prepare funding forecasts, and coordinate disbursement requests with banking partners to support operational requirements.
• Prepare weekly borrowing base reporting, submit required documentation to lenders, and maintain clear communication with bank contacts.
• Apply customer payments, reconcile incoming cash receipts to accounts receivable records, and investigate posting variances as needed.
• Process payroll accurately, complete related reconciliations, and issue payroll-related payments in accordance with established timelines.
• Prepare and submit monthly Colorado use tax filings while ensuring supporting data is complete and accurate.
• Record accounting data in logs, spreadsheets, and financial systems, while maintaining organized and current documentation.
• Review financial activity, post journal entries, and assist with month-end and year-end close by supporting reconciliations and reporting needs.
• Evaluate accounting workflows, document procedures and internal controls, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, including support across accounts payable processes when needed.
