This role is vital in managing the company's accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of our investment portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within real estate or private equity environments, with the ability to handle complex financial transactions and collaborate effectively across departments. Duties Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP standards. Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models related to real estate investments. Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions. Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements relevant to private equity and real estate investments. Collaborate with property management teams and other stakeholders to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies. Monitor investment performance metrics and assist in the valuation of real estate assets. Contribute to process improvements within the accounting function to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred. Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or Senior Staff Accountant, ideally within real estate private equity or similar industries. Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Experience with accounting software systems; familiarity with real estate or investment management platforms is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and with external auditors.
