You do not need tax preparation experience. We will train you. We're looking for someone who is great with people, comfortable learning new systems, dependable, organized, coachable, and willing to help wherever needed. What You'll Do As a Tax Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced Taxology team members while learning the tax preparation process.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with preparing and processing individual tax returns Enter and organize client tax information Review files for missing documents or information Follow up with clients by phone, email, and in person Schedule appointments and maintain accurate client records Learn Taxology's tax software, systems, and workflow Help clients understand the tax preparation process Assist with completing and closing out client files Work with experienced preparers on more complicated situations Support other team members during busy periods Provide friendly, professional customer service Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you: Genuinely enjoy helping people Communicate professionally and confidently Are organized and detail-oriented Are comfortable working with computers and learning new software Can manage multiple responsibilities in a busy environment Take feedback well and are willing to learn Are dependable and follow through Work well as part of a team Take initiative when someone needs help Are interested in learning tax preparation and developing a long-term professional skill We prefer 2+ years of professional, customer-service, administrative, or office experience. A college degree is not required. Tax experience is not required. Taxology has a seasonal business cycle. Tax season is our busiest period and requires greater availability and flexibility. Our off-season provides a lighter and more flexible schedule. As you develop your tax knowledge, client-management ability, and leadership skills, there are opportunities to advance within Taxology into higher-level tax preparation, client management, senior, and leadership positions.
