This role goes beyond basic bookkeeping-you will drive daily financial operations, eliminate administrative bottlenecks, and bring structure to our cash flow management. You will act as a collaborative sounding board for leadership while ensuring all day-to-day accounting functions run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:
Oversee daily, monthly, and annual accounting processes, including P&L, balance sheets, journal entries, credit card/bank reconciliations, and budget development.
Cash Flow & Operations:
Manage petty cash, donation tracking, and post-event cash reconciliations. Resolve timing gaps between payroll, operational bills, and state funding disbursements.
Resident Trust Accounting:
Accurately manage resident accounts, move funds into trusts, and track receipts/balances for social security and operating funds.

Compliance & Software:

Utilize QuickBooks Online daily and complete required Florida digital state trainings to align with AHCA billing requirements.

Industry Background:
Prior experience in non-profit accounting, resident fund management, or health/human services billing.
Regulatory Awareness:
Familiarity with state funding workflows or AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) billing environments.
