Part-Time Staff Accountant / Accounting Assistant Orlando, FL | Part-Time (20-30 Hours/Week) | Growth Opportunity Join a Growing Home Builder OLO Builders is a fast-growing custom and semi-custom home builder based in Orlando. We're looking for an entry-level Staff Accountant / Accounting Assistant to join our team. This position will work directly with our Owner and our outside CPA, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch their accounting career while gaining real-world experience in a growing construction company. What You'll DoAccounting & Bookkeeping Perform daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements Assist with month-end and year-end close Prepare financial reports and account reconciliations Track company budgets and project costs Monitor job cost reports and cost variances Organize financial records for our CPA Assist with payroll documentation and reporting Construction Accounting Review and code vendor invoices Issue and track purchase orders Track subcontractor payments Assist with project reconciliations Monitor allowances and change orders Maintain vendor records Support warranty accounting and documentation Administrative Support Maintain organized digital files Enter financial and project data accurately Communicate professionally with vendors and trade partners Assist leadership with reporting and special projects Help improve accounting systems and internal processes QualificationsRequired Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or currently pursuing) Basic understanding of accounting principles and journal entries Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience with QuickBooks Online Bookkeeping experience Experience in construction accounting (not required) Technology & AI We believe technology should make work smarter, not harder. The ideal candidate is comfortable learning and using modern technology and AI tools to improve efficiency.
