Summary of Position The Staff Accountant provides essential support to accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various financial processes at Silverwood Theme Park. This position requires a detail-oriented, problem-solving, and collaborative individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate learns new technology quickly and handles sensitive information with high discretion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare and review timely daily, weekly, and period-end journal entries. Perform and/or assist with period-end balance sheet reconciliations and review transactions for compliance with GAAP and company policies. Review and process accounts payables invoices. Review and process guest and group related revenue activity. Maintain and track use tax, according to Idaho State Tax Commission Research accounting issues, determine appropriate corrections, and make recommendations as needed. Maintain detailed records of financial transactions while handling sensitive information with discretion. Evaluate accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, effectiveness, and compliance. Collaborate with internal leadership to provide timely and professional support. Assist with ad hoc financial projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-5 years of general ledger or related accounting experience. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines. Strong knowledge of accounting software such as JDE and WorkDay; experience with multiple systems is a plus.

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
