We're looking for a talented Tax Accountant who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping clients succeed through strategic tax planning and business consulting. What You'll Do As a Tax Accountant, you'll work directly with business owners and leadership teams to provide valuable tax and financial guidance that drives results. In this role, you will: Serve as a trusted advisor by delivering strategic tax planning and business consulting services Analyze financial data and business operations to identify tax-saving opportunities and improve profitability Prepare and review tax returns, provisions, payments, and related compliance filings Research and resolve complex tax and financial issues Advise clients on entity structuring, strategic transactions, and the tax implications of business decisions Help clients maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication Collaborate with professionals across audit, advisory, wealth management, and other service lines Prepare quarterly and annual tax reports and supporting analysis Stay current on changing tax laws, regulations, and industry trends Manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate, high-quality work with minimal supervision What Makes You Successful Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting 4-7 years of experience in public accounting, tax consulting, or a related advisory role Strong understanding of tax compliance, financial reporting, and business operations Ability to interpret financial statements and translate data into actionable recommendations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications CPA license strongly preferred Experience providing consultative services to business clients Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Why Join Cooper Norman?
