We are a public accounting firm looking for a Tax Accountant to help us during tax season (January thru April) and potentially after tax season. Ideally, the Tax Accountant would have 2 plus years experience in preparing tax returns. We are a small accounting firm that works closely with our clients. Our culture is to maintain a work and personal life balance. Excellent time management skills are essential, as you'll have to ensure our company's clients meet deadlines. Responsibilities Prepare personal, partnership, corporate and trust returns Complete quarterly and annual tax reports Organize and update the company's tax database Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits for clients Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes Skills Proven work experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or Tax Preparer Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software packages are a plus Computer literacy (MS Excel in particular) Excellent analytical and time management skills Keen attention to detail
