Overview Responsible for leading project financial administration, cost reporting, accruals, system controls, and accounting compliance for the Renewables portfolio. This role serves as a senior financial partner to operations, project controls, corporate accounting, and finance teams, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of project financial data throughout the full project lifecycle, from setup and budget loading through project closeout. The position provides advanced support for financial reporting, percentage-of-completion accounting, change order management, accrual processes, audit requirements, process improvements, and resolution of complex project accounting matters.

Responsibilities Lead the import of approved budgets into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system after auditing estimates, approvals, and supporting documentation for control compliance and accuracy

Review, validate, and interface approved change orders, including updates to revenue overrides in Viewpoint for Unapproved Change Orders (UCOs), ensuring compliance with contract and revenue recognition requirements

Prepare and analyze month-end cost reports, identify key variances or risks, and provide explanations for management reporting, project reviews, and audit support

Export cost detail, variance, and notes reports for historical reference and audit support

Serve as a primary project accounting resource for the monthly corporate Percentage of Completion (POC) analysis and Percentage of Completion Calculation (POCCAL) reporting process, including research and resolution of complex questions

Prepare and review accrual calculation workbooks, evaluate reasonableness of estimates, coordinate with project teams to resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate entry of accruals into the system

Monitor compliance, completeness, and timeliness of accrual submittals; maintain audit-ready support; and escalate unresolved issues or control concerns as appropriate

Calculate project-related prepaid expenses from Power BI and ERP data and enter adjustments

Review and approve monthly payroll accruals for Wind, Solar, and BESS

Support Renewable Services monthly payroll accruals as needed

Prepare warranty and indirect cost allocations

Provide evidence for contract values, change orders, and system controls including Segregation of Duties (SOD) reviews

Lead or facilitate quarterly UCO analysis meetings, prepare supporting analysis, document follow-up actions, and coordinate requirements with corporate teams

Report non-cancelable commitments for quarterly disclosures

Track Project Management Incentive Program (PMIP) for compliance and accrual alongside project controls

Set up projects in the system per the job setup form provided by operations

Monitor phase codes and lock as necessary to avoid cost bleeding after completion

Monitor purchase order (PO) closeout, equipment usage, and call-offs through project wind-down

Monitor final costs with project teams to determine when jobs can be closed in the system

Support ERP testing, conference room pilot activities, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives by providing project accounting subject matter expertise

May require some travel to project sites
