full-time Our growing privately owned client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant south of Boston to join a dynamic team in this ON-SITE role. This position serves as a key partner to operations and project management, balancing core financial reporting with project accounting and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities Project Accounting & WIP:

Maintain job cost reporting, analyze project profitability, manage monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, and review percent-complete revenue recognition.

Team Leadership:

Directly supervise and mentor two Accounts Payable team members, overseeing invoice processing, reconciliations, and vendor relationships.

Financial Management:

Prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reports, and assist with audits, budgeting, and forecasting. Qualifications 5+ years of accounting experience (bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required). Strong hands-on experience with project job costing and WIP schedules. Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred. Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP accounting systems. Strong communication skills with an analytical, collaborative approach.
