Senior Accountant We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join an established nonprofit organization. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys general ledger work, gift and endowment accounting, and supporting the annual audit.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end and year-end close. Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations and maintain the trial balance. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for gifts, grants, investments, and the endowment. Work with internal teams and investment advisors to make sure gifts and endowment activity are recorded accurately. Assist the Controller with financial statements, footnotes, and auditor requests for the annual audit. Support Form 990 and Single Audit preparation. Prepare recurring financial reports, budget-to-actual variance reports, and projections.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of hands-on nonprofit accounting experience. Working knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting. Experience with journal entries, month-end close, and general ledger reconciliations. Advanced Excel skills. Gift, grant, or endowment accounting experience is a plus. $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
