Role Description The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Westborough, MA. This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable and receivable processing, general ledger entries, and reconciliations. The Accountant will prepare and review financial reports, assist with month-end and year-end closing, and support budgeting and forecasting processes. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards, and supporting audits as needed. The role collaborates closely with finance, operations, and management teams to provide timely and reliable financial information that supports business decision-making. Qualifications Strong general accounting skills, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations. Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Experience using accounting and ERP software, as well as strong Excel and other spreadsheet skills. Knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices, with the ability to apply them in day-to-day work. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (such as CPA or CMA) is a plus. Prior experience in manufacturing, chemicals, or technology-driven industries is beneficial. Salary range $58,000 to $65,000
