Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for executing all processes related to monthly accounting close and financial reporting. This includes the preparation of account reconciliations and monthly close journal entries, and ensuring all transactions are recorded in the general ledger based on

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting:
Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and variance analyses for $50M in revenue manufacturing company
General Ledger:
Maintain, reconcile, and manage the general ledger and sub-ledgers, ensuring the financials are properly supported.
Month/Year-End Close:
Support timely closing processes.
Audits:
Coordinate with external auditors, prepare documentation, and resolve findings.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and cash flow management.
Process Improvement:
Develop and implement accounting policies, systems, and controls.
AP/AR:
Support accounts payable and receivable processes.
Staff Support:
Train, mentor, and review work of junior staff.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proven experience as a senior or accounting supervisor, 3+ years in accounting.

Strong GAAP knowledge, experience with GL functions, ERP/MRP systems, advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).Accuracy, attention to detail, analytical skills, problem-solving, communication, leadership

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
