If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are working with companies in Fremont that are adding Staff Accountants to their teams. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and various financial reports. Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation. Analyze manufacturing costs and variances, contributing to cost control initiatives. Maintain fixed asset records and assist with depreciation calculations. Participate in inventory counts and reconcile inventory balances. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) Experience with inventory costing and analysis Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports Bonus Qualifications Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles CPA or CMA certification Experience with inventory costing and analysis in a manufacturing environment Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot Job Titles That Should Apply Staff Accountant, Junior Accountant, General Accountant, Accounting Assistant, Financial Accountant, Cost Accountant, Treasury Accountant, Fixed Asset Accountant, Accounts Payable Specialist, Accounts Receivable Specialist, Bookkeeper, Compliance Accountant, Tax Accountant, Forensic Accountant, Audit Associate Why The Pivot Group Network The Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
