Ludington, MI Salary Range:

If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Ludington seeking Staff Accountants who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts. Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing supporting schedules. Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations. Support inventory costing and analysis, including variance explanations. Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations. Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve processes. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) Experience with inventory costing and analysis Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Bonus Qualifications Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs Experience with inventory costing and analysis Job Titles That Should Apply Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, Junior Accountant, Financial Accountant, General Ledger Accountant, GL Accountant, Accountant, Cost Accountant, Property Accountant Why The Pivot Group Network The Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
