Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure accurate bookkeeping practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, payroll taxes, and regulatory compliance. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, as it will help in understanding industry-specific financial processes. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting overall business operations. Duties Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all applicable payroll taxes and regulations. Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management review. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements related to payroll taxes and other financial obligations. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. Skills Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper with strong knowledge of payroll processing and payroll taxes. Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to payroll and financial reporting. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Office applications. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively. Good communication skills to collaborate across teams and explain financial information clearly.
Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 34.0 per week
