Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Assist with inventory accounting and inventory valuation processes Analyze manufacturing variances and identify key business drivers Support standard costing activities and annual cost roll processes Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to better understand manufacturing performance and cost trends Assist with product costing, margin analysis, and profitability reporting Review and analyze labor, material, scrap, and overhead variances Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating planning processes Support physical inventory counts and cycle count programs Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Identify process improvement opportunities and help drive efficiency initiatives Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making Collaborate with leadership on special projects and ad hoc analysis

Education & Desired Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of inventory accounting and manufacturing operations Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis Exposure to cost accounting, standard costing, or manufacturing variance analysis is preferred but not required Demonstrated ability to partner with operations and provide actionable financial insights Strong Excel and analytical skills Desire to learn and develop deeper expertise in cost accounting #
