Staff Accountant Onsite $60,000-70,000 + bonus Pathway Talent Partners is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing and well-established organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and contributing to the financial health of a growing business. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated to continuously improve processes while partnering with colleagues across the organization. Position Overview The Staff Accountant will play a key role in day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and financial reporting is completed in a timely manner. This individual will support month-end and year-end close activities, perform reconciliations, assist with regulatory reporting, and help strengthen accounting processes as the business continues to grow. Key Responsibilities General Accounting & Financial Reporting Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts. Complete monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare supporting schedules and account analyses for financial reporting. Review transactions for proper classification, accuracy, and documentation. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances. Operational Accounting Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed. Track and reconcile fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts. Assist with cash management and cash flow reporting. Prepare recurring internal financial and management reports. Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation. Compliance & Process Improvement Assist with sales tax filings, 1099 reporting, and other regulatory requirements. Help develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities. Support special projects and financial analysis initiatives as assigned. Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 1-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles. Experience utilizing accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism. What Success Looks Like The successful candidate will: Deliver accurate and timely accounting work.
