Join Community Memorial Hospital as an Accountant and play a key role in supporting the financial operations behind exceptional patient care. Job Summary The Accountant is responsible for carrying out a variety of professional-level accounting and finance tasks in the hospital's Fiscal Services Department.

These tasks may include:

1. Preparing journal entries to record accounting activity and to adjust general ledger account balances or reclassify general ledger transactions, 2. Analyzing and reconciling general ledger transactions including those generated by other modules in the ERP system such as Accounts Payable, Patient Billing, Payroll, etc. 3. Applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other regulatory guidance as appropriate, 4. Assisting in compiling data and preparing supporting schedules for cost reports and tax returns, 5. Maintaining a cash receipts worksheet and ensuring proper accounting for incoming payments, 6. Preparing monthly reconciliations for cash and investment accounts, 7. Compiling monthly reports of statistical data, 8. Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget, and 9. Preparing schedules and reconciliations in support of the annual audit.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting. Experience operating general ledger accounting software. Experience using Microsoft Excel.

Wage Annual Salary:
