The Opportunity APi Group is seeking Finance Interns to support meaningful work across our corporate and segment finance teams. This internship provides hands-on experience with financial reporting, analysis, business processes, and decision support in a growing, global organization. Interns may contribute in one or more of the following areas based on business needs and interests:
Accounting:
Support day-to-day accounting activities, month-end and quarter-close processes, financial reporting, and related schedules and workpapers.
Treasury:
Support treasury and banking data analysis, bank-balance reporting, master-data management, and recurring reporting processes. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Help improve management reporting, analyze business drivers, support earnings-related analyses, and identify process-improvement opportunities.
Internal Audit:
Support SOX compliance, risk-management, and internal audit activities through audit evidence, workpapers, preliminary testing, and analysis.
Specialty Segment Finance:
Support segment-level management reporting, profitability and work-in-progress analytics, and productivity insights across operating companies. Through this experience, you will build practical skills in financial analysis, Microsoft Excel, reporting, process improvement, and communicating insights while collaborating with finance leaders and business partners across APi Group. What You'll Do Analyze, organize, and validate financial and operational information to support recurring reports, analyses, and business decisions. Assist with financial reporting, accounting activities, close processes, treasury reporting, audit documentation, or segment finance priorities, depending on assignment. Create, update, and maintain clear, accurate schedules, workpapers, documentation, and Excel-based analyses. Support management reporting, profitability analysis, liquidity reporting, earnings support, internal-control testing, or other finance priorities. Collaborate with finance, operating company, and segment partners to understand reporting needs, business drivers, and process requirements. Identify data inconsistencies, reporting gaps, and opportunities to improve the clarity, consistency, efficiency, or scalability of recurring processes. Complete assigned projects and present key learnings, findings, and recommendations to the Finance team at the conclusion of the internship. What You'll Bring Required Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data. Foundational knowledge of accounting, finance, financial analysis, or modeling through coursework or experience. Preferred Qualifications Rising sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor's degree. Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills. Curiosity about business operations, performance drivers, reporting, and process improvement. Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, a continuous-learning mindset, and appropriate discretion with confidential information.
