Staff Accountant Lightner & Stickel CPAs is searching for an ambitious and reliable staff accountant to support our growing accounting and tax practice. This is a great opportunity to join a growing firm and serve the local business community.

Responsibilities:

QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online support. Payroll processing and payroll return preparation, filing and related compliance. Bookkeeping, Year-End Accounting. Financial statement compilation engagements.

Desired Qualifications:

Obtained or pursuing an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Experience in public accounting desired but not required. Positive, team-friendly attitude, including when workload is high. Attention to detail and deadlines. Experience with Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online, or Accounting CS is a plus. Experience with payroll tax processing and compliance. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Proficient with individual income tax preparation. Ability to problem-solve and work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. We are a local CPA firm specializing in accounting, tax, consulting and payroll compliance needs for closely held businesses and their owners. The firm's offices are in a newly renovated building close to downtown Troy.
