Job Description

AgriNorthwest is seeking a capable Accountant to join our Boardman office team!
Summary:
The Accountant II supports the finance team by performing financial analysis, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Provides timely financial information to support business decisions.
Responsibilities:
Analyze financial results and explain variances. Prepare and review account reconciliations. Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy. Support month-end close, including accruals and adjustments. Prepare financial reports and statements. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. Identify and recommend process improvements. Work with the finance team to deliver accurate and timely information. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of accounting experience (cost accounting preferred). Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting systems and tools (e.g., Excel). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High integrity and adaptability. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus. #ARI Working conditions: The physical demands below describe what is generally required to perform this job.
