We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join a fully onsite team in Devon, Pennsylvania. This contract opportunity is ideal for an accounting specialist who enjoys balancing daily financial operations with month-end responsibilities in a part-time schedule of approximately 25 to 30 hours per week. The role will support accurate reporting and maintain strong financial controls.

Responsibilities:

• Manage invoice processing and payment workflows while maintaining accuracy and timely vendor support.
• Lead key month-end accounting activities, including account analysis, close support, and preparation of adjusting entries.
• Monitor budgets and compare actual spending to planned amounts to help leadership track financial performance.
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure complete and accurate cash records.
• Prepare regular financial reports that provide clear insight into operating results and account activity.
• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger in alignment with accounting standards and internal procedures.
• Process credit card transactions and review related activity for accuracy and proper documentation.
• Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role with hands-on responsibility for day-to-day financial tasks.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and confidence using accounting systems to manage transactions and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures.
• Background in accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both internal stakeholders and non-financial users in a clear and detail-focused manner.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities effectively in a part-time onsite environment.
