Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day AP and AR activities, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close processes. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor maintenance, and payment distribution. Oversee accounts receivable functions, including billing, cash application, collections, and customer account maintenance. Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts. Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables. Process and verify accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Assist with month-end and year-end close activities. Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and vendor/customer inquiries. Generate financial and operational reports as needed. Collaborate with internal departments to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of accounting experience with strong AP and AR responsibilities. Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

Experience with ERP or accounting software systems. Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliations. Manufacturing, distribution, or inventory accounting experience is a plus.
