Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for live and after the fact payroll as well as all payroll reporting responsibilities and monthly bookkeeping. Your expertise will help streamline financial processes, perform accurate reconciliations, and contribute to the overall health of multiple companies financial operations. Expertise in tax return preparation is preferred. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to grow their accounting career within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze journal entries, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end closing activities with precision and timeliness. Manage payroll using various financial software including QuickBooks, Accounting CS, or similar systems. Assist with financial reporting, including preparing schedules for audits, tax filings, and internal management reports. Handle confidential information responsibly. Be able to assist with answering phones, tending to daily client needs, and have excellent customer service skills. Requirements Experience with bookkeeping and payroll preferred. Ability to work with various software platforms (Quickbooks Desktop, QBO, Accounting CS, Microsoft, Adobe, etc). Strong technical accounting skills including journal entries, account reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, and balance sheet analysis. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high attention to detail in data entry and account management tasks. Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and support customer service efforts related to finance inquiries. $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
