$65,000 - $75,000 per year Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support cost accounting and financial reporting for our manufacturing operations. This role will focus on inventory, manufacturing costs, cost analysis, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of accounting experience with a strong manufacturing background and is comfortable working with large data sets, ERP systems, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Cost Accounting:

Maintain and analyze manufacturing costs, including material, labor, overhead, standard costs, and cost variances.

Inventory Accounting:

Support inventory valuation, cycle counts, reconciliations, adjustments, and related financial reporting.

Month-End Close:

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and other month-end closing activities related to inventory and manufacturing costs.

Variance Analysis:

Analyze purchase price, material usage, labor, overhead, and other manufacturing variances and investigate significant discrepancies.

Financial Analysis:

Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost control and process improvement.

ERP & Data Management:

Maintain accurate cost and inventory data within the ERP system and support improvements to accounting processes and reporting.

Audit & Controls:

Support internal controls, external audits, and documentation related to inventory and cost accounting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing accounting. Understanding of standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and month-end close. Experience with NetSuite/Oracle, SAP, or another major ERP system preferred. Strong Excel and financial analysis skills. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work cross-functionally. Preferred Qualifications Experience in solar, automotive, battery, electronics, or other manufacturing industries. Experience with NetSuite is a plus. Experience supporting a high-growth or expanding manufacturing operation is a plus.

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
