Job Summary Welcome to Serve and Savour! We are a growing full-service catering and hospitality company specializing in weddings, corporate events, private celebrations, and venue partnerships throughout the North Dallas area. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to take ownership of our day-to-day financial operations and help provide leadership with accurate, timely insight into the financial health of the company. The Accountant / Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciling accounts, assisting with payroll, monitoring event-level financial activity, and preparing regular financial reports for ownership. This position will work closely with company leadership, operations, sales, and our outside CPA to ensure our books remain accurate and our financial reporting provides a clear picture of company performance. The ideal candidate is not simply a data-entry bookkeeper. We are looking for someone who is analytical, organized, proactive, and comfortable identifying discrepancies, asking questions, and helping management better understand the numbers behind the business. Bonus structure will revolve around profit margin KPI's. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date books in QuickBooks Online Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, payroll, and payment platforms Manage accounts receivable and monitor outstanding customer balances Manage accounts payable, vendor invoices, and payment schedules Assist with payroll processing and reconciliation Maintain accurate categorization of revenue and expenses Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and A/R reports Assist ownership with tracking profitability by business category, including catering, staffing, beverage, planning, and third-party services Help analyze food, labor, beverage, and other direct event costs Identify discrepancies, unusual expenses, and changes in margins Assist with month-end and year-end closing Work with our CPA to provide documentation for taxes and financial reporting Maintain organized and confidential financial records Qualifications Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong understanding of basic accounting principles QuickBooks Online experience preferred Proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets Experience with A/R, A/P, reconciliations, and payroll Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working independently and taking ownership Hospitality, restaurant, catering, or service-industry experience is a plus What We're Looking For We want someone who is proactive, analytical, and highly organized .
