Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of accounting experience and a strong understanding of day-to-day accounting operations. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, preparing journal entries and financial statements, and assisting with sales tax and other accounting-related tasks. The candidate should be comfortable working independently, have experience with both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, and be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish. This is a full-time, in-office position with an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of the organization. Responsibilities Perform accurate and timely data entry for accounting transactions. Prepare and complete bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records. Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Manage accounting activities using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. Assist with sales tax preparation, reporting, and related accounting tasks. Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation. Assist clients and respond to phone calls and inquiries when needed. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Experience At least 3 years of accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or higher, or currently working toward an Accounting degree. CPA is not required; candidates currently working toward a CPA are a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience using both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively. Strong organizational and communication skills. Willingness to work full-time, in-office.
