Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting & Administrative Associate manages daily bookkeeping operations, financial reconciliations, and business office administration for Bryce Resort. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance & HR, this position acts as a critical line of financial control and serves as a professional point of contact for guests, members, and internal staff. The scope of this position is organized into three distinct priorities: Primary Focus (Financial & Member and Guest Services): Owning the accuracy of daily departmental reconciliations, general ledger updates, and monthly sales tax/government submissions, while providing customer service to members and guests. Secondary Focus (Personnel Support): Providing entry-level administrative assistance for human resources, including assisting with new-hire onboarding lifecycle, providing administrative support for employee benefits, compliance needs, and coordination of J-1 seasonal staff. As-Needed/Ongoing Support (Systems & Technology): Assisting with resort technology maintenance, including troubleshooting point-of-sale (POS) terminal updates and assisting with updating transactional assets in the online booking engine.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance & Administrative (Primary) Audit, reconcile, and close daily departmental financial reports; investigate and correct discrepancies. Update and balance company checkbooks, daily ledgers, and the General Ledger. Prepare and file monthly, semi-annual, and annual government reports and sales tax submissions. Handle all memberships & corporate clubs: inquiries, sales, databases, updates (yearly and monthly), activity passes, membership passes, and front-desk POS transactions. Provide phone coverage and respond to guest/member inquiries at the front desk or electronically. Count and balance daily operating cash funds when assistance is needed to the General Cashier. Support the Director of Finance & HR with miscellaneous administrative and departmental tasks as assigned. Human Resources (Secondary) Assist with new-hire onboarding lifecycle — recruiting coordination, collecting paperwork, scheduling and providing orientations. Maintain tracking logs for employee certifications, required permits, and training completion. Conduct or coordinate background checks, DMV record checks, and other employee eligibility verifications as requested. Provide front-line administrative support for employee benefits enrollment (distributing forms, answering basic questions, routing complex issues). Assist with maintaining compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and best practices; review and assist with updating HR policies as needed. Support employee recognition events and morale initiatives. Coordinate and manage the J-1 seasonal internal student work visa program. Systems & Technology Support the Resort's online booking engine — updating seasonal assets, pricing, and content. Assist with POS system integrations, updates, troubleshooting, and staff training.
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY SKILLS
Experience:
2+ years of combined experience in hospitality administration, accounting/bookkeeping, or human resources.
Financial Acumen:
Familiarity with bookkeeping, daily reconciliations, ledger management, and sales tax filings.
HR Knowledge:
General familiarity with employee lifecycle processes; willingness to learn HR compliance basics.
Technology:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; POS or online booking platform experience a plus.
Communication:
Friendly, clear written and verbal communication; comfortable engaging with guests, members, and staff.
Organization:
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage routine tasks concurrently in a fast-paced resort environment.
Discretion:
Ability to handle sensitive employee and financial information with confidentiality.

• Pay Range $20.00 - $23.00 per hour (dependent on experience).
