We are partnering with a well-established nonprofit in the Burlington area seeking a Staff Accountant to join their collaborative team. This is a great opportunity for someone with full-cycle accounting experience who is looking for long-term growth and a clear career path within a mission-driven organization. This role offers strong exposure across the close process, financial reporting, and grant accounting.

Responsibilities:

Perform grant accounting, including tracking and analyzing grant-related costs to ensure accuracy and compliance Prepare financial reports and support month-end close activities Manage invoicing for cost reimbursement and ensure timely submissions Partner with the Finance Director and AP Manager to ensure proper GL coding and accurate expense tracking Assist in maintaining and updating an approved vendor list Coordinate, monitor, and verify per capita distribution checks

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3+ years of experience Strong understanding of GAAP Experience with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting Exposure to grant accounting is a plus Comp up to $80,500
