JOB SUMMARY
Active accounting role with various duties in a dynamic multi-company environment with specific responsibility for the processing, recording, updating, and reconciling accounting/financial information.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform general accounting tasks, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, posting Journal Entries, Payroll (as needed) and Reconciliations across various companies and multiple accounting systems. 2. Accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records. 3. Prepare bank deposits, customer billings, and month-end and year-end accounting workpapers. 4. Reconcile accounts in a timely manner, resolving open items and following up appropriately. 5. Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy and completeness. 6. Prepare, review and distribute monthly financial reports. 7. Perform monthly agent billings, update agent commission plans, onboard and offboard agents and maintain systems for any related agent matters. 8. Assist in the accounting and reporting of franchise fees between our brokerages and our franchisor. 9. Assist in the budget and forecast process. 10. Maintain budget and forecast information in the accounting system. 11. Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models. 12. Perform special projects and other accounting activities as needed.
JOB COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 2 -3 years experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent Communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to plan and complete projects timely and accurately is critical
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment as an important member of our team
