Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Accountant will assist in the day-today administration of the accounting activities. Balancing and tracking assigned General Ledger accounts monthly. This extends to the completion of activity needed for the year-end audit. Ability to help with accounting issues. Help resolve accounting issues within the department and with other departments. Assist in the preparation of the policy and procedures. Reporting tax deposits and year-end reporting. Various duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Native American preference. Prefer two (2) year degree in Accounting or finance, or three (3) year work related equivalency. Accounting background desired, with minimum or three (3) years of experience. Good communication and organizational skills are required.

Able to work with figures and numbers. Ability to understand accounting software and procedures. Must be accurate, organized, and possess a high degree of honesty and integrity. Confidentially is a

MUST. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Work with various accounting functions helping to keep up to date. This may include fixed assets, tax filing, tax calculations, journal entries. IRS tax reporting and year-end reporting. Balance monthly assigned General Ledger accounts. Assist in preparation for the End of the Month. Work with accounting issues to keep in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings.
